be awarded annually

  • FutureEverything Art Award 2011
  • FutureEverything Music Award 2011
  • FutureEverything Society & Technology Award 2011
  • FutureEverything Lifetime Achievement Award 2011

Submissions: Art Award 2010

Submissions may be in any medium. Open to anyone internationally to nominate a project or to submit their own project. Eligible projects must have been realised within 15 months of the submissions deadline.

In the first instance submissions should include the following on one side of A4:

Criteria: Art Award 2010

The awards are assessed against the following criteria:

  1. Excellence
    The overall quality and artistic merit of the submission.
  2. Originality
    Is the project a new piece of work? Is it original or distinctive? The degree to which the work has developed new formulations and/or initiated new methods and/or forms of expression.
  3. Significance
    Does the project enable people to explore or challenge their relation to art, music or social technology? The degree to which the work has enhanced, or is likely to enhance, knowledge, thinking, understanding and/or practice in its field.
  4. Relevance
    Relevance to FutureEverything's focus on social and participatory artworks and creative projects in any medium that take place in city spaces, and/or to the annual festival themes, and in support of FutureEverything's aim of reaching beyond established audiences.
  5. Coherence and Rigour
    Is it clear what the artist is attempting to achieve in the project, and has the artwork successfully achieved those aims and engaged an audience? The degree of artistic or intellectual precision and/or systematic method and/or integrity embodied in the work.
